CryptoBro: Diamond Hands

Wilds land with a life counter printed on them (2, 3, 4, or 5). On every respin, the Wild moves one position (usually leftward-down, AvatarUX's standard path) and its counter decrements by 1. A Wild persists until its counter hits 0 or it rolls off the grid.

A single Wild landing with a 5-counter guarantees at least 5 respins. Multiple Wilds coexist, each decrementing independently — which is why dense base-game sequences can chain 10+ respins without natural win symbols. Higher-counter Wilds are rarer (~15% of Wild drops are 5-counter, ~50% are 2-counter).

Any spin that lands a Wild enters a respin chain. Reels keep spinning for free as long as at least one Wild remains on the grid. Every new Wild landing during a respin adds its counter to the chain — effectively resetting the termination clock.

Base-game respin chains typically run 2–4 spins. Dense chains (7+ spins) happen on ~3% of respin sequences and are the main source of 50x+ base-game hits. The respin mechanic is where CryptoBro's medium-frequency payout profile comes from — it smooths the high-volatility baseline.

3+ Bonus symbols trigger HODL Free Spins — a collection-based bonus rather than a win-per-spin bonus. Every Wild that lands during the free spins is collected to a meter on the side of the screen along with its position and any multiplier it carried.

Free spins continue until the respin chain terminates naturally (same mechanic as base). When the chain ends, all collected Wilds are dropped onto the grid at once for the Whale Spin finale. Mid-HODL spins pay out some wins directly, but the bulk of the 20,000x math lives in the finale.

The finale: every Wild you collected during HODL drops onto the 5×4 grid simultaneously. Positions are fixed (based on where each Wild landed when collected). If two or more Wilds land on the same cell, they stack as a multiplier — 2 overlap = x2 on that position, 3 overlap = x6, 4 overlap = x24.

This is the core 20,000x math. A Whale Spin with 14 collected Wilds spread across the 20-cell grid has high overlap probability. When overlapping multipliers compound on premium symbols with fully-Wild-covered paylines, the payout cap comes into view.

Standard Bonus Buy: 100x stake for regular HODL entry. Max HODL: 400x stake for a "loaded" start — 3 pre-placed Wilds with counter 5 on the first spin, effectively guaranteeing 15+ respins worth of collection.

Max HODL buy RTP is noticeably higher (~96.4%) than standard buy (~96.0%) and base (95.96%). The 400x tier is statistically the strongest in the game — 3 guaranteed Wilds with high counters means the Whale Spin starts with a much larger collection pool.
